How to Play Krillion: Rules and First Dive

Krillion is a daily browser trivia game about giving an answer that fits the question and stands out from the obvious. Here is how to get started.

Start a daily dive

Open the official Krillion website and choose Daily Dive. The official instructions describe seven prompts shared by everyone, with 25 seconds to name one thing for each prompt.

The daily dive allows one attempt per day. Each question asks you to name something that fits a category. The goal is to find a valid response that goes beyond the first familiar example.

Read the prompt before typing

Notice any restrictions in the question. A rare answer will not help if it falls outside the category or fails an exclusion stated in the prompt.

Think of a few possible responses. Prefer a precise answer you can defend over an obscure word you are unsure about.

Understand rarity

The game says rarer answers score more, with each point moving the dive ten metres deeper. Its instructions describe 700 points as reaching the trench.

The official FAQ says the way rarity is determined depends on the question. Some answers use familiarity data, while others receive AI assistance and a manual review. The special Krillion answer is chosen for more than rarity alone: it is also selected for the satisfaction of finding it.

Review your result

The game decides which answers are accepted and how they are scored. Review the feedback to learn from each question.

If a reasonable answer is missing, the official FAQ acknowledges that answer sets may miss sources. Its autocorrect also considers aliases, which can occasionally produce unexpected matches.

Keep practising

The official menu lists Unlimited, an archive and themed packs. Availability, pricing and access can change, so check the game itself for current details.
